New or Renewal of a License
To quickly renew a license for your pet online, you need the following information found on the renewal letter and/or receipt issued when the initial license was purchased. Pet’s License number Person ID number The following information is required for all renewals and new animal licenses: Rabies certificate information including the rabies tag number, vaccine expiration date, and veterinarian’s name. After completing the online license process, you may email it to AnimalCareLicenses@auroragov.org, fax to 303-326-8284 attn: Licensing, or you may mail it to The Aurora Animal Shelter at the address at the top of the page.
If your animal has not been spayed or neutered, the Intact Animal License must be purchased. To avoid paying an Intact Animal License fee, proof of spay/neuter surgery for your pet must be received by the Animal Care Division before attempts are made to renew a license online.
