The Human Resources Department serves as the central contact for the coordination of employment opportunities, employee compensation and benefits, employee relations, training and Risk Management.

  • Salary and benefit surveys are conducted on a regular basis and updated pay schedules are maintained. Those updates are on the pay schedule.

  • The city’s safety program provides education and training regarding safe work practices that city employees should use in the workplace and in their homes

Risk Management

  • The city provides Workers’ Compensation for medical benefits and compensation for time lost from work as a result of work-related injuries.
  • Occupational Health Services performs pre-employment physicals and drug screening.
  • Third party claims (citizen claims) against the city for auto liability, general liability, and property damage liability are handled here. File a claim to begin the process.
  • Property Claims are for losses resulting from damage to or destruction of city-owned property.
